Welcome

The Northern Division of the Brazilian Geological Society invites everyone to participate in the 18th Amazon Geology Symposium (18th SGA), which will be held from October 26 to 29, 2025, at the Amazonian Border Center of the Federal University of Roraima, in Boa Vista – RR.

Recognized as one of the leading technical-scientific events focused on Geosciences in the Amazon region, the SGA brings together researchers, professionals from both the public and private sectors, and students of Geology and related fields. Throughout the event, research findings will be presented and discussed, along with roundtables and lectures addressing key regional topics. The symposium comes at a timely moment, marked by deepening cross-border issues and the growing trend of scientific internationalization. It also aligns with the rise of interdisciplinary areas that integrate Geosciences, new technologies, and emerging themes.

This collective gathering of geoscientists, guided by critical thinking and the plurality of approaches that define our field, will foster profound and essential scientific reflections to address the complex geological dynamics and scientific challenges that permeate the Amazon and its frontiers.
