GUIDELINES

Submission Format

Extended abstracts submitted to 18SGA must be between 3 and 5 pages. We encourage authors to follow the general structure of a scientific article, which should include: Abstract, Introduction, Geological Context, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, and References. Figures and tables are recommended to convey results. Abstracts may be written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.

Submissions must follow the official formatting guidelines to ensure consistency in structure and presentation. For details, please refer to the links below:

**Submissions that do not follow the correct format and template will be returned to the authors without review.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Review and Author Notification

You will be notified whether your submission was assigned as an oral or poster presentation in the 18SGA program and must revise your abstract according to reviewer feedback. All completed submissions will be reviewed. The acceptance status of your abstract will be communicated via email by July 15, 2025.

Presentation

Accepted oral presentations will be included in the thematic sessions of the 18SGA. Posters will be displayed during the event, and authors must be available at designated times to discuss with participants. More details will be provided in the confirmation email.

Publication

Participants of the 18SGA will be invited to submit full papers for publication in the next volume of the book “Contributions to the Geology of the Amazon.” Guidelines, deadlines, and submission instructions will be announced after the event.
